Our Top 3 Matcha Recipes

Posted by Sanctuary Eleven on

If you follow us on insta, you'll see how much we rave about our daily dose of matcha powder. A boost of anti-oxidants helps to increase energy levels, enhance your mood, boost your metabolism and stimulates your metabolism - what a little super powder!

It has a grassy, earthy taste... there's no denying that, so here's my top 3 fave recipes to include matcha in your every day without feeling like you're shotting grass... yum!

1. Iced Matcha Coconut Latte

It says it on the tin! A cold, refreshing drink with the sweetness from the coconut milk to take that grassy taste away. You will need :

Matcha Powder
Coconut Milk
Ice

Simply whisk your matcha with a little bit of hot water to form your matcha moment. Add ice and stir in your coconut milk. Enjoy!

2. Frothy Oat Milk Matcha Latte

The same sort of idea as the first but for the times you need a little warmth! I personally think oat milk or almond milk (no added sugar) are the best at frothing up cappuccino style. I use a simple milk frother from amazon to do this, nothing crazy and it heats/froths as I boil the kettle and mix my matcha. You will need :

Matcha Powder
Oat Milk
Sugar Syrup ( I use agave but a vanilla shot would be lush too!)

Like before, whisk your matcha with some hot water. Add your syrup of choice and top with your frothy milk, simple and delicious!

3. Frozen Matcha Bowl

Again, you may have seen this appear on the insta stories... I go through phases of being  o b s e s s e d  with smoothie bowls and adding matcha makes me feel like I've got it together. You will need :

1 Frozen Banana
1/2 Cup of Frozen Avocado
Agave Syrup
Almond Milk
Matcha Powder
Vanilla Protein

Mix the above together (if you're not keen on adding vanilla protein, you can swap out for some frozen tropical fruits such as pineapple, mango, papaya). Spoon into a bowl and top with granola and berries! Enjoy!
